We had another really positive meeting last night. Jane Thompson from ECDC came along and discussed the Ely Traffic Management Fund with us, there were lots of questions and we learned a lot more about the process and what may and may not be possible.
After Jane had left we signed up new members and then had a very fruitful discussion on what we should put forward at next week’s stakeholder meetings organised by ECDC.
We have settled on:
- Ely wide 20mph speed limit. More info
- More cycle parking in the City Centre. More Info
- Making Back Hill one way and using the road space freed up for a cycle route from the top of Back Hill to the station. More info
- Improved cycle specific road signs for Ely to make clearer that cycling is accepted. More info
