A couple of us rode out to March on Saturday to see the Cambridgeshire Festival of Cycling event. We’re going to be running at a stall at similar events in Soham and Ely in a few weeks so we thought we’d go and check out what we’d got ourselves into.

Simple solution to the bikes on trains problem


Cycling is a great way to travel short journeys but for most people cycling further than a few miles is not an option they would sensibly consider. That’s where combining cycling with rail travel makes perfect sense. Ride a few miles to the train station, get on the train (with your bike) and then ride few miles at the other end.

Our thoughts on the new Octagon retail park

The plans for the new Tesco retail park (AKA The Octagon) which will be tucked in between the new southern bypass, Angel Drove and the business park are available online here [PDF].

Doing a quick search for “cycle” or “cycling” turns up this bold and positive statement:

The proposed development in the application has been devised so as to prioritise the movement of pedestrians, cyclists and public transport users wherever possible.

When did I become disabled?
